The DROP is a work from the series Rain in Kyoto. A floating plinth forms the stage for a swelling drop of water emerging from its underside. As the drop grows, a cone of light expands with it, unfolding into a vibrant caustic projection.
The work captures a moment of concentration — a precise interplay of light, water and gravity. What appears as a simple physical process becomes a spatial event: a threshold between formation and dissolution, between tension and release.
