CARA

CARA was presented during the Long Night of Museums in Cologne as an interactive video installation by the KALYPSO collective.

A large space was transformed into a suspended landscape of cushions, distributed across the room and hanging from the ceiling. The arrangement evoked the dynamic moment of a pillow fight. However, the cushions were cast in plaster, appearing rigid, white, and sculptural.

These objects functioned as projection surfaces. Visitors were invited to perform short scenes at the entrance — gestures of sleeping, dreaming, laughing, or waking. The recorded material was processed and projected onto the suspended forms.

The work explored the transformation of intimate actions into a shared visual environment, oscillating between playfulness, participation, and spatial composition.
